My Whole Person Approach to Growth

The World Health Organization includes all aspects of the whole person in the definition of health:- the physical, mental, social and spiritual dimensions. It also describes health as a positive state of being and not just the absence of disease. The wellness of each aspect of the self and true harmony between them produces wellness of the whole person. Wellness of our emotions and thinking will therefore depend on all aspects “working well” together.

Since we cannot be totally well unless we are totally whole; this is my vision for you:

“Realize that you are special and unleash your potential through balanced living.”

I seek, therefore, to integrate a WHOLE PERSON APPROACH (biopsychosocial and spiritual), with your permission, as we move together from assessment, planning, self-help or treatment, and evaluation. Based on my belief on how we grow as persons, the goals of this whole person approach are: Self Engagement, Lifestyle Changes, and Relationship Empowerment.

 Therapeutic Elements Promoting Wholeness

The above goals are also an integral part of the most important therapeutic elements in promoting wholeness and healing:

  • Self  Engagement through self-awareness and self-help
  • Lifestyle Changes through motivation and knowledge-building
  • Relationship Empowerment through care of self and others

 The Enabling Context

The context in which care for our website users and clients is provided is also critical to the process.  At our Whole Person Growth Facility we seek to provide quality of service, comfort, relaxing aesthetics and a commitment to excellence.
